More Colour Please

Death is pitch-dark, but colors are light. To be a painter, one must work with rays of light.
Edvard Munch

What is great right now is not just the fact there is more pattern and colour available in fabrics, but also that clients aren't fearful of using them. Redecorating a room can be a big expense. It is not surprising then that the more neutral colours dominate,  a much safer option. And for a while the term Minimalism abounded and  seemed to infer beige upon beige or chocolate brown. A High Street look which really couldn't go wrong.

But if you are confident, it is a joy to use colour.  Zoffany have just introduced 38 new paint  colours to complement their range of fabrics and wallpapers.

Dare I also say that primary colours are also back for main rooms? I know a few blogs ago I wrote about some Marvel comic wallpaper and before that about Memphis design, but I am seeing more and more bold and quirky and colourful designs. A lot of bright yellow, some Kandinsky patterns and these Picasso cushions are also pretty cool.
