Planning an Extension

News out today suggests an increase in both residential and commercial planning applications. With mortgage interests rates likely to remain low, and if you are secure in your finances, then an extension is an alternative to moving and buying up. More often people like the area, like the feel of the house, but either feel need more space, need updating or some investment has matured and reinvesting in your home is a wise move.

As great fun as it is bringing in either a surveyor and builder or an architectural practice- it's often the interior designer who can assist with helping to construct the best suited design. Attention to windows and what will cover them, electrical sockets and a vision of where furniture should be positioned. I have been in numerous extensions ready to work with the client where there is often the "hmm, should have thought about that" moment. Even down to style of doors, types of flooring and working with underfloor heating.

My new online service helps with just that. For £50.00 per domestic plan, I will cast my experienced eye over your drawings and give you my thoughts in writing as to how it might work for you including some preliminary design ideas/ details. This also includes a phone call at your convenience to chat through any other ideas or issues.
